Dr. Lynne Morrow is the Music Director of the Oakland Symphony Chorus.  The 2008-09 season is the 50th anniversary year of OSC, which will premiere a commissioned work by her longtime friend, composer Sanford Dole.  Dr. Morrow is also Music Director of the Grammy-nominated Pacific Mozart Ensemble

Dr. Morrow teaches at Sonoma State University, directing the Vocal and Opera/Music Theatre Programs. Her Quantum Opera Theatre at Sonoma State seeks to broaden the formal and stylistic links between opera and musical theatre.

Dr. Morrow enjoys working with composers and writers on new works and provides an environment to workshop new music theatre each year.

This summer she prepared a chorus for the premiere performance of Nolan Gasser's complete oratorio, "American Festivals" with the Napa Valley Symphony.  She will also work with the Festival Opera's 2008 productions of Verdi's Il Trovatore and Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream and will give pre-concert talks for those operas.

She is also the host for the Stern Grove Music Festival.
