Every week, the 110 amateur singers of the Oakland Symphony Chorus soak in the sounds of great choral masterpieces. We leave rehearsal happily humming our favorite passages – tired, yet also magically energized. We are challenged each week to sing beautifully, and to sing from our hearts.

The chorus has been a fixture of the East Bay arts community for 5 decades. In addition to our regular concerts with the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the Oakland Civic Orchestra and two fine youth orchestras, we also reach out to the community by offering workshops on musical styles, scholarly examinations of the works we perform, and volunteer activities such as our annual caroling programs.

The Oakland Symphony Chorus is a community treasure. Your generous contribution will help us to keep the gift of music alive.
